How do I get BetterMuse?
Download BetterMuse from the App Store on your iPhone or iPad. You can browse, preview, and listen to scores for free, then add your first library piece or import one of your own without subscribing.
How do I report a bug or share feedback?
Email contact@bettermuse.app with what happened and the steps to reproduce it. Your device model, app version, and a screenshot can help us investigate. Please leave personal information out of screenshots.
What do I need to use BetterMuse?
A compatible iPhone or iPad. A USB or Bluetooth MIDI keyboard supports the fullest scored-practice experience, while the built-in touch piano can also drive supported grading.
Is BetterMuse available on iPhone or Android?
BetterMuse supports iPhone and iPad. Android is not currently supported.
How does score practice work?
Import a MusicXML or MXL score, choose a measure range, and play against the notation. BetterMuse listens through MIDI and colors the notes, timing, and touch feedback directly on the score.
Can I practice my own music?
Yes. You can import MusicXML, MXL, MIDI, and PDF documents. Pick the bars or PDF chunks you want to work on, listen first, mark them up, and come back later with progress still attached.
How does the score library work?
Open Explore to search the catalogue by title, composer, level, or style. You can open the real notation, zoom, and listen before adding a score. Added catalogue scores are downloaded to your device and remain available in your library for practice.
What's free and what's paid?
You can browse, preview, and listen to the score library for free. Your first repertoire addition is included: choose one library score or import one of your own. BetterMuse Pro unlocks unlimited library additions and custom imports. Annual and monthly plans are available, with a seven-day trial on the annual plan for eligible new subscribers. The app shows your local price and renewal terms before you subscribe.
How do I cancel my subscription?
BetterMuse subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose BetterMuse. You can also use Manage Subscription inside the app to open Apple's subscription settings.
What syncs through iCloud?
Note naming, practice history, goals, saved drills, and score-library metadata can sync through your private iCloud database. Imported source files and freehand ink stay on each device, so you may need to re-import a score on another device.
My keyboard isn't being detected.
Make sure it's powered on and connected via USB or Bluetooth. Try unplugging and reconnecting. For Bluetooth keyboards, pair through iOS Settings > Bluetooth first.
