Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using BetterMuse (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on any compatible Apple device you own or control, subject to these terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

3. Subscriptions & Purchases

BetterMuse Pro is available as an auto-renewing monthly or annual subscription. Prices are shown in your local App Store currency before purchase. Eligible new subscribers may be offered a free trial on the annual plan. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it, and your Apple ID is charged for each renewal. You can manage or cancel the subscription through your Apple account subscription settings.

4. User Content

You may import MusicXML, MXL, MIDI, and PDF files into BetterMuse for personal practice use. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content you import. BetterMuse does not claim ownership of your imported files, markings, or practice data.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; redistribute or sublicense the App; use the App for any unlawful purpose; or attempt to circumvent any access restrictions or security measures.

6. Intellectual Property

BetterMuse, including its design, code, content, score-processing tools, and scoring algorithms, is the intellectual property of BetterMuse. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BetterMuse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the App.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
